When a parent passes, you deal with a lot. When both pass, you have to sort through the remainder of their lives. It’s hard. I finally sorted and put away the things I took from my childhood home. It was heavy and hard… so as a reward I spent time making pretty pictures. They’re together, now, just like their rings. Grief isn’t linear… sometimes it feels like yesterday and sometimes it doesn’t. Today, I cried. Tomorrow, who knows.
